Supermicro dedicated servers underwent a major update last week. Now you can choose from more servers with AMD processors combined even with DDR5 memory.
In the first half of 2024, we received many requests and inquires for building a dedicated servers with an AMD processor (the option for build own server you can find in the last column). To respond to this unprecedented demand, we have added two more server configurations with AMD processors on the ZEN 4 infrastructure to our portfolio. You can now choose from 4 models, with no limits on individual hardware modifications as always.
In addition to AMD CPUs, two new Supermicro servers are equipped with fifth-generation DDR5 memory, which provides higher frequency and performance with lower power consumption. Lower power consumption can be useful when you decide to buy the rented server from us after 2 years for one-time fee € 3. This benefit is provided with all our dedicated servers.
Intel versus AMD
Previous server configurations were equipped with Intel Xeon E-2314 and E-2336 processors. The new ones feature AMD Ryzen 5 7600 and AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processors, which not only come with integrated AMD Radeon Graphics but also provide much higher performance, more threads, and significantly larger cache.
