Computer infiltration means unauthorised entering programme code into computer system in order to perform undesired (often concealed) activities. Currently, there are about 80,000 types of infiltration (according to AEC) with 500 to 800 new types appearing every month. The problem is that classification is not unified and types are difficult to differentiate from mutations of the type. Based on behaviour and programme code construction we can differentiate the bellow types of infiltration.

AWStats is a freeware tool generating advanced web, stream, ftp and email statistics into a graphic environment. This server log analyser works as CGI from the command line and displays all available information contained in logs on several graphic websites. Since AWStats often uses small parts of information files at a time, there is no problem processing large log files which also affects the speed. It is capable of analysing log files from all major server applications, e.g. Apache log (NCSA combined/XLF/ELF log format or common/CLF log format), WebStar, IIS (W3C log format) and many other web, proxy, wap, stream, mail and some ftp servers.

Medieval had its own quantitative problem of abstracts and metaphysics: the famous scholastic argue over „How many angels could dance on the head of a pin?“. Should we know the answer, combined with the information of total number of angels, we could easily calculate the number of pins to accommodate all angels.
Modified into today´s world, the argument might go like: „How many servers would you need to accommodate all the information (or correctly data) of this world?“

Thermionic effect
It sounds like a fairy tale: a direct transformation of waste heat of a processor to the electric energy. The investors from all over the world flew together like wasps on a melon, immediately when the fantastic news appeared, that ENECO company developed a component, which can be applied to any computer chip and it performs a conversion of the waste heat of the chip to (backward) generation of electricity. In the materials of the company it is spoken about „thermionic conversion of energy“.

More and more companies not only in the IT industry start putting stress on „green technologies“. When we speak about a server housing, it is not common yet to connect its operation with the environmental issues. Nevertheless the time is drawing near also in the Czech Republic and especially if we realize that an accumulated consumption for 3000 common server units represents about 1MW, the significance of the subject of energy intensity is evident.

Aggregation ratio is calculated as proportion of theoretical maximum capacity of connections needed by users within the given aggregation point and actual capacity. Therefore, the aggregation ratio identifies the proportion of distribution of the shared connectivity provided. The higher the denominator number is the smaller portion of the shared connectivity provided is attributed to one server. E.g., 1:24 aggregation ratio connection actually means dividing the shared connectivity into no more than 24 parts!
Connection comparable in price provided by competition will offer aggregation ratio of as much as 1:500!

PTR record is a piece of information based on which the DNS realises IP address ---> name translation. PTR records are not recorded in the same zone as the others (e.g. A or CNAME records) but in their own zone, the name of which starts with a seemingly strange word identifier (including something like addr arpa etc.) and ends with the reverse order of IP network octets. The problem with mail is the purpose PTR records are sometimes used for: if the client requires a service on the Internet, the inquiry is sent and the target server tries to perform a reverse translation based on the sender's IP -- if the PTR record and its zone exist and are „visible“, the action results in translation to your domain name, thus confirming your existence. If the translation fails, some servers will deny their services.
In short, PTR record translates the IP address based on domain name. This is crucial for e-mail services. The name may include any name, most often the name of a domain referring to the IP.
